Apply for a Grant for Water Technology Research – August 18 to September 19, 2025

The joint grant call by the KAUTE Foundation and the Erkki Paasikivi Foundation for research and development projects in water technology will be open from August 18 to September 19, 2025. Researchers can reach both foundations with a single application.

The joint application round by Finnish foundations offers multi-year funding especially for early-career researchers and their projects. The funding also encourages researchers to build international networks. The online application system opens on August 18, allowing you to fill out and submit your application.

Professor of Practice Ilkka Miettinen Encourages Building Connections

Ilkka Miettinen, what advice would you give to future researchers?

“Network! Collegiality is still essential for researchers in the 2020s. AI can’t replace human interaction. I think in Finland we really get excited about these things—together,” says Miettinen.

In his view, water-related research is especially fascinating in Finland, where real change is possible.
